How to Stop Standing in Your Own Way
How many of you reading this article have convinced yourself of all that you can NOT do? How many of you believe that greatness is impossible for you? I use to feel that nothing good was for me, that good things only happened to everyone else. See, I was a child structured in abuse. This created a mindset of insecurity and self doubt, among many other things.
I never believed in myself. I never believed that good things happened. I was extremely pessimistic. I never realized I was until one day The Universe allowed me to be mirrored me so I could see it. It took a lot of soul searching and spirit work to get to where I am now. Even in this place, I am still without perfection..
I set out on a journey to better around the beginning of my 3rd decade. I wanted to be like the other women I saw that seemed to have it all together. I wanted to be "perfect" and have everything mapped out. No one told me that this was a place I'd never reach. Though, I realized this was with good reason, because I would not have believed them anyway. But in the midst of this journey I found so much better. I found "ME." I found my peace and I regained my power. Is This saying everyday a great day? NO! Does everyday come to an end without error? NO! But does everyday have purpose and meaning? YES! Does every day lend me more hope and inspiration? ABSOLUTELY!
I took baby steps to undo all that had been done. I had to unlearn to relearn. (This is a daily assignment.) As you know with any relationship you must apply daily effort to reap daily rewards. I began to force myself to think the opposite of everything I had been thinking. For Example, when my mind would whisper something negative, I'd tell myself the opposite. If the voice says be afraid, I said "Do not be afraid, you have nothing to fear." I do this every single time a negative remark surfaces. It is synonymous to placing a coin in a jar. Eventually that jar will become full.
I also began to listen to brainwave entrainment. This method induces many brainwave states. I.E. creating a trance, enhancing focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment pushes the entire brain into a certain state. Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching. This allows you to experience what those states feel like. Use brainwave entrainment in conjunction with meditation, yoga and even while you read. The beauty in this is you can incorporate it into anything you do.

Most of our daily behaviors are subcontiously active even when we don't notice it. Limiting beliefs are often created by others for us before we can even formulate for ourselves. We have parents that place their fears and doubts upon us. We have television and radio that will do the same. We then take those things and toss our learned behaviors in the mix to create the thought process that we have now adopted.
I also create vision boards filled with only positive words and quotes. I place these boards in central locations in my home so that I am forced to see them daily. This enforces a reminder of what I want instead of the things I don't want. Filling our mind with more positive than negative is imperative. This allows us to produce more positive than negative thoughts. Also, including repetitions of daily affirmations is a must for me. By doing so, we retrain our minds to think positive. One of the most important things I do is maintain a balanced nutritional lifestyle. Although, I believe a vegan lifestyle is best for our health. I know not everyone feels this way. I respect this completely. I only ask that you maintain a healthy lifestyle that works best for you. I apply a vegan lifestyle with exercise to help keep my spirit and body strong. A healthy spirit and body help to support a strong and sound mind.
Keep in mind that as long as you are taking positive steps to your betterment, you are already steps ahead of someone doing nothing. Continue to move in a positive direction that feels great to you. Don't stop trying until you find your version of "right". Above everything, always know that there are NO LIMITS!! Everything needed to reach your goals is already inside of you waiting to be utilized!
